Herts Open Studios 2021

From Saturday 18th September to Sunday 10th October across Hertfordshire: we're back out there, sharing our art with the world, and we know our visitors are ready too. Who's up for the adventure and opportunity to let our art unfold again?

Looking to take part this year? Everything you need is in our Open Studios for Artists section here: ... check the side bars (laptop or wide screen) or (on a mobile device) scroll down the page to see more.

Registration is from 1st-31st July: Once registered, you'll receive exclusive Herts Open Studios emails and support.

Not sure yet? Are you a venue that would like to host Open Studios? Want to take part but don't have your own space? Register your interest and we'll see what we can do to help you from there.

This year there are 2 options: In-person Open Studios (£75) or Virtual Open Studios (£35) - it's your choice. OS fees are in addition to Membership.

In-person Open Studios: you'll need to have a venue lined up before signing up to Open Studios. If you don't have your own space, that's ok. Perhaps you know of local pop-up shops, galleries, halls, groups of Members who could host or who might have space. Maybe you have somewhere in mind, or know some fellow artists you can join in with. There's a wealth of information in our Herts Open Studios tab to get you started, as well as pointers to groups/venues offering space and artists who are looking for a share. Perhaps you have a venue or group that you could share with others?

Members: Just log in to your account and register from there.

Non-members: it's simple to become a member of Herts Visual Arts. Once a Member, you can sign up to this event and take advantage of all our other benefits too. What are you waiting for?

If you need anything else, email and we'll be pleased to help.

Christmas Showcase 2020

#HertsChristmasArts 2020 ran from 14th November - 31st December 2020. We took full advantage of our website and strong social media presence to create Christmas Showcase. #HertsChristmasArts is a fantastic virtual celebration where visual artists across Hertfordshire can share their work, seasonal creations and gifts. It's a great experience for our visitors and artists alike.

Members: simply updated their Gallery to (1) put a seasonal image at the top and (2) select the Christmas Showcase Theme. (3) visit the Christmas Showcase tab here for more detail, special event dates. There was no charge to participate, but members were encouraged to complete this by 20th November to feature in our seasonal flipbook and video.

Non-members could also take part by signing up as members first. Joining as a member in 2020 also means you can take part in our January Conference and also (subject to separate fee and available places) our March Makers Fair.
