Print is at the heart of my practice. Sometimes I print dye on fabric and embellish it with stitch, other times I choose to print ink on paper. My work primarily reflects my investigation of nature, often landscapes. Even when my inspiration comes from outside nature, the work often has landscape-like qualities. Recently, I’ve been using earth pigments suspended in soya milk. This has been mainly on cloth but I’ve also created mini landscapes using thin collage papers painted with earth pigments and a printmaking process called drypoint. As well as working in Digswell Arts trust’s print room, I work from my home studio in Welwyn.
