Welcome to Herts Visual Arts (HVA)
For over 35 years HVA’s growing membership of artists, makers and artisans has been at the centre of the thriving visual arts landscape in Hertfordshire. We welcome as members everyone from art lovers and collectors through to those making art in a variety of forms. Our focus is making visual arts accessible, vibrant and enjoyable for all.
Our networks offer connections, support, encouragement, and development to members. Through exhibitions, opportunities and events, HVA members and volunteers bring the joy of visual arts into local communities.
Herts Open Studios is our flagship event and has been running across the county for 35 years. In 2025 year we had 148 artists taking part, opening their studios and other venues across the county.
Love Art Magazine
LOVE ART is our quarterly magazine, distributed to members and venues across the county and available to read online. Each issue focuses on two guest artists, highlights upcoming events and exhibitions across the county and contains articles on different areas of the visual arts.
