I have been a ceramic artist for twenty years, having previously worked in print design. I work mainly in stoneware and crank, making art that is both practical (tableware, planters) and decorative (sculptural vessels and wall art). I love to incorporate colour and texture into my work. Sometimes I make photographic prints of my work, or fragments of it as I am fascinated by how the application of heat prompts the flow and intermingling of glazes in a painterly way – almost completely beyond my control.
