ARTIST STATEMENT Julie Leaming Julie’s artwork is created in response to primary sketches from shapes and forms found in nature. Particularly attracted to winged creatures and birds in flight. She sculpts her work in clay, firing to a high stoneware temperature and finishing the work in metallic, bronze and copper effect. The work being suitable for both indoor and outdoor spaces. Julie graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2015, having studied Contemporary Fine Art. Working from a studio in Baldock , Hertfordshire Julie exhibits in HVA events, exhibitions and galleries across Hertfordshire and the South of England .
