Jessica Ozlo is a visual artist working primarily with textiles and paint. Her practice is rooted in traditional craft techniques such as weaving, spinning, crochet, macramรฉ, knitting, and sewing, engaging with processes historically linked to womenโs labour and handmade traditions. While honouring these methods, she approaches them in an intuitive and experimental way, allowing materials and forms to develop organically.
She studied Fashion Design in Barcelona and completed a Masterโs degree in Costume Design at the London College of Fashion. After several years working in film and theatre, she shifted her focus fully to art in 2020. Since then, her work has been exhibited in Madrid, London, and Paris, and is held in private collections across Europe and North America. She also collaborates with art consultants and interior designers, integrating her work into a range of contemporary spaces.
Sustainability is central to her practice. She works with biodegradable, recycled, and reclaimed materials, prioritising reuse and mindful sourcing. Through a contemporary approach to traditional craft, her work celebrates the cultural value of hand making while opening space for new material and visual possibilities.
