Hi! I’m Faiza . I’m a self-taught visual artist based in Welwyn Garden City. My journey with art has been a deeply personal and transformative experience. Working primarily with oils, I have always been fascinated with human form , features, emotions and expressions. Through my work, I seek to explore the emotional undercurrents that shape identity—those quiet, internal stories shaped by memory, relationships, and lived experience.

Recently, my practice has expanded to include landscape painting, both in the studio and en plein air. This shift has deepened my connection with the external world and introduced a new dialogue between the environment and the inner self. Just as in my portraits, my landscapes are less about representation and more about resonance—capturing mood, atmosphere, and the fleeting impressions that nature can leave upon us.

Whether depicting a face or a field, I am guided by the same impulse: to reveal what lies beneath the surface and to invite the viewer into a quiet space of reflection.
