Deb is a self-taught artist with a portfolio built over many years with works inspired initially by wildlife and more recently broadened to include subjects that reflect her love of the natural world and include landscapes and plant studies. She has enjoyed creating artwork since childhood; studying shells and plants in pencil before eventually injecting colour with oils to explore texture; particularly in the animal studies. In addition to canvas, Deb works on natural products such as slate and pebbles as the base for small works and commissions (mainly in acrylics). Her hope is to bring pleasure, re-connection and peace to her audience through original art works that reflect a little of her wonderment and to share joy-filled glimpses of the natural world. Deb is committed to supporting species in crisis and protecting the environment. Any products featuring her work are carefully sourced with the environment and ethical production methods uppermost in mind. Supporting wildlife conservation is key and 10% on profit of all animal artwork sales are pledged to her local wildlife park, supporting their involvement in rare species breeding programmes.

Along with many others I will be taking part in the Orwell Art Exhibition and Sale on Saturday 22nd November 2025, Orwell Village Hall, 10.00am – 2.30pm
