Sally Bassett

Wild Sea and Landscape Artist

Sally Bassett holds and Honours Degree in Fine Art and is a dedicated painter. She lives and works in the small  Chiltern village of Aldbury.

The essence of Sally’s work is its joy, energy, vitality and colour.

Her work commences with her extensive observational notes and drawings  and many photographic images which later provides impetus  for work in her studio.

Landscape paintings follow the season’s of the year, starting with the snow and mist in January and moving to Spring, with snowdrops, daffodils, bluebells, apple and cherry orchards, then to Summer and the fields of daisies and poppies before finally reaching the gold and orange of Autumn.

Sally also frequently visits  the West Country where the energy and excitement of the sea keep her painting seascapes.
