My work is colourful, abstract, and geometric, with elements of cellular and fractal patterns. Printmaking without a press, drawing and collage are particular interests. I like to experiment with making monoprints using a Gelli plate. I had a studio in Wood Green London N22 for several years, and I now work from a small studio in my garden in Barnet.
My ideas come from many sources – observation of the natural and manmade worlds, awareness of other artists’ work, and images that just seem to pop into my head which I then develop. I like to experiment with different materials and processes. My work leans towards the design side of art, and I have had tea towels printed with some of my designs. My interests in gardening and recycling/reuse often feed into my work. I love to visit a variety of exhibitions, and pick up new ideas.
My favourite artists include Howard Hodgson, Phyllida Barlow, Richard Long, Jim Dine.
Since graduating from the University of Hertfordshire in 2016 with a BA in Fine Art, my work has been shown in a number of group exhibitions, art markets, and open studios.
