My practice centres on celebrating the beauty of everyday life through portraiture and floral painting, merging close observation with imaginative expression. I am particularly drawn to the narratives people carry and the emotional possibilities. The timeless influence of the History of Art continues to shape my approach and visual language.
I am also deeply drawn to painting flowers. They offer a unique starting point — allowing me to paint directly from life while also giving me the freedom to explore my imagination. This balance between the observed and the imagined is key to my process.as they provide a perfect balance between working from life and allowing my imagination to take shape. The act of painting flowers invites both a grounded observation of nature and the freedom to explore beyond it.
I am a Member of the Society of Women Artists, The Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers at Painter’s Hall and I graduated with First Class Honours degree in Fine Art as a mature student, a milestone that has profoundly shaped my artistic development and voice.
At its heart, my work is intended to bring a sense of joy and life to a space — to uplift, enrich, and connect with viewers on an emotional level.
