Joan Munden

I am passionate about nature and art is my way of appreciating it more. I love painting birds, animals and flowers, observing their colours, shapes and movement. I run an en plein air group for local environmental charity The Friends of Therfield Heath in Royston, soaking up the views and conserving them onto paper, canvas and iPad. I am a member of Royston Arts Society and help to organise and run our various exhibitions.

Later this month I’m excited to say that I will be exhibiting some of my artwork in September as part of Herts Open Studios – one of “The Royston Trio”, alongside Susan Hartga and Susan Sanders.  It will be at the home of one of my fellow artists, Sue H, in Morton Street, Royston. I will be showing some of my paintings from my Plein-Air group: scenes from Therfield Heath and other local locations. I’d love it if you could pop along. I will be there at these times:
Fri 19th: 12 – 5pm / Sat 20th: 2 – 4pm / Sun 21st: 11am – 4pm /
Fri 26th: 12 – 5pm / Sat 27th: 11am – 1.30pm / Sun 28th: 1 – 4pm.
At other opening times either one or both of the two Sues will be there.

As part of Royston Arts Festival I am exhibiting at the Royston Arts Society Autumn Exhibition. https://www.roystonarts.org.uk/current-exhibition/
It will be held in Royston Town Hall on these dates and times:
