I explore ideas primarily through printmaking and drawing but also venturing into sculpture, moving image and painting. I am always looking to imbue works with both my energy and the inherent energy within my media, and communicate that liveliness to the viewer. For me, artistic creation is all about experimentation and celebration of my materials.

Current projects have been taking inspiration from recent travels in remote islands and the fringes of Europe;  Orkney, Faroe, Iceland, Estonia, New Zealand and Brittany. I also have long term projects which are more conceptual, relating to physics, astrophysics and astronomy. These subjects converge in my fascination with neolithic traces in the landscape and my ongoing project “These Old Stones”.
