I like to capture contrasts of any kind such as beauty and decay, urban vs rural, light and dark. Searching for beauty in the overlooked, I may find it in a rotting leaf, a broken window or a rusty wall. These structures and surfaces allude to the processes of painting, printmaking and collage and I draw parallels between them as I engage in my creative work.
I worked as a Photographer for 10 years, before spending 3 years studying Fine Art at the City Lit in London, followed by local classes. I grew up in South Manchester and I lived in London, then came to St Albans in 1995.
