Painting
This work is inspired when I was in cornwall on a cliff looking out to sea during a sunset. I have used alcohol inks which gives it unpredictability like nature itself

I enjoy experimenting with different mediums & using alcohol inks & paints in a way that can be unpredictable and which challenges my urge to strive for perfection. This is so therapeutic - allowing me to let go, & giving me the freedom & space to be more fluid & experimental.
I am also currently looking at layers & how to express that. This is prompted by me looking at myself & how sometimes we mask the difficulties or anxieties we may have going on underneath the outer layer.
I have ME/CFS which means I have to pace myself. In my pre ME/CFS life I trained as a dancer. I have always felt a bit awkward & shy when it comes to speaking up so dance gave me freedom to share in a non verbal way. Now art has allowed me to express myself in another way. Sales of my work are used to fundraise for Hertfordshire ME/CFS Support Group which I founded in 2016 - https://www.hertsmecfs.org/
