13o Laura Murgia at Kingsbury Artists
Laura is a painter based in St Albans working primarily in acrylics.
Her paintings focus on light and colour in the landscape, striving for a sense of dramatic light to convey a feeling of awe and wonder at fleeting moments in our everyday experiences. The power of light in nature to inspire and nurture the soul has become a recurrent thread in Laura’s art practice.
Laura holds a BA (Hons) Fine Art degree from Central St Martins and has shown in group shows in London and Hertfordshire as well as a solo show in the past.
At the Open Studios at Kingsbury Barn Laura will be showing some of her paintings of crystal clear seas, dramatic skies, and local woodland scenes, in acrylics and oils during the weekend of 6th-8th.
She will also have some of her sketchbooks on display and will aim to be painting on site.
