I like bold and beautiful painting in acrylics and oils. I paint with passion to make you smile. Painting quickly to trap energy and movement using strong brushstrokes, texture, and juxtaposition of colour – I love a painting you want to touch!

Seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary and taking inspiration from all around – highly stylised graphic design and the great outdoors – finding beauty wherever it may lie. I take inspiration and then paint from my imagination.

I am a largely self-taught artist who transitioned from a legal career and love the freedom that art affords. Let’s play with the rules! I have spent many happy years in my free time attending galleries, exhibitions, and art history lectures. I am a member of three local art groups and enjoy many demos, workshops, and short courses. I exhibit locally with Herts Open Studios, Bucks Art Weeks, the Rickmansworth Art Society, and Beechwood Artists. I will be showing some of my work in Kingsbury Barn in St Albans during the weekends of 19th-21st and 26th-28th.
