Laura is a painter based in St Albans, working in acrylics and oils, whose practice explores the emotional and symbolic power of light and colour in the landscape.
Her work focuses on fleeting moments of dramatic light, inviting a sense of awe in the everyday. Her practice is an invitation on how light in the natural world can uplift, heal, and connect us to something deeper.
Whether drawing inspiration from the turquoise seas of her native Italy, walks in her local woods or the wild skies and rugged landscapes of Ireland’s Donegal, her paintings are grounded in personal experience and her emotional response to nature.
Laura holds a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art from Central St Martins and has exhibited across the UK, also receiving various awards and commendations in local exhibitions and competitions.
At the Open Studios at Kingsbury Barn Laura will be showing a selection of her paintings of crystal clear seas, dramatic skies and local woodland scenes, in acrylics and oils. She will also have some of her sketchbooks on display.
