I work in acrylics or oils with collage and mixed media, using photographs and sketches to inspire me to explore a sense of place in paint. I aim to express the essence of my feelings and observations in the landscape and everyday life by using layers to create depth and translucence. Colour, texture and shapes arise from the study of natural forms and favourite objects.
