Gerry Wilmer

I love to sketch using pen and watercolour. Trees, especially with interesting twisty shapes. Landscapes and seascapes.
I am also very interested in extremes of scale. Sketching in tiny books and then painting on a much larger scale, with acrylics on paper and oil on canvas.
I try to find beauty wherever I am and paint with bright colour and light in response to and despite all the sadness and turmoil in the world. I hope people will find my work uplifting and hopeful.
