Beyond the canvas, Toni’s life is rooted in the quiet beauty of the English countryside and the profound connection between humans and animals. Having spent years as a hairdresser, she transitioned her lifelong creative energy from the salon to the studio.

Working across mediums, Toni captures the world through two lenses: her oil paintings offer a grounded, realistic tribute to the enduring beauty of the land and sea, while her intuitive acrylic, watercolour and mixed media works lean into a contemporary, semi-abstract style. These more atmospheric pieces often carry a whimsical spirit – a gentle echo of the magical stories and fairy lore her mother shared with her during a happy childhood. Born in a small Hertfordshire village Toni has carried with her a lifelong love of the countryside and Nature.

She mainly works intuitively watching a painting develop in front of her, building the layers of the image from what instinctively feels right often with no prior knowledge of what the end result will be. In start contrast her oil land and seascapes are carefully thought out and planned, down to the finest detail.

Toni believes the varying nature of her work keeps the passion alive and eliminates complacency.
