I’m a local mixed media and textile artist who loves bringing people together through creative, hands-on workshops. I run mixed media workshops in watercolour painting, printmaking, lino and collage. I draw much of my inspiration from nature – its colours, patterns, and quiet details often find their way into my work. I believe art should feel relaxed and enjoyable, with plenty of room to experiment, make a mess, and discover something new along the way.
This means that my own artwork takes many forms , beginning with a painted background , I add layers of collage and printed paper, fabrics and a line of stitch finishes the work.
I originally trained and worked as an occupational therapist, which still very much informs how I run my sessions. I naturally take a whole-person approach, thinking about how creativity can support not just skills, but confidence, wellbeing, and connection too. I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel comfortable, supported, and able to express themselves in their own way.
For me, it’s all about making art feel accessible, positive, and genuinely enjoyable – something everyone can be a part of!
