Amy is a Textile designer and hand weaver based in North Hertfordshire.
She is the owner of Liliane Textiles, (established 2009) a design studio developing concept woven fabric designs, selling bespoke items, and making small collections of fabric accessories.
Amy is passionate about design and finds endless inspiration in the natural world, often taking photographs, walking in nature and studying the details found in weathered and worn surfaces and organic structures.
She enjoys sharing the process of design and weaving with others and has been delivering a range of textile art and loom weaving workshops through Arts organisations, local colleges and from her studio during the past 12 years.
Her work can be seen in many exhibitions and events across Hertfordshire.
Bea Brown's new paintings 2022-23 depict her response to the variety of fungi and textural landscape of her local woodland. Her handling of colour is celebratory. Bea has returned to painting after an 18 year gap having studied Fine Art at the University of Hertfordshire graduating in 1997. She has also studied life drawing and continues this practice today (see Browser). Other new work is a rediscovery of landscape/textures. She also works in 2D mixed media.
Carol started painting with watercolour, progressing to acrylic and collage. her style is loose and free flowing with lots of vitality and colour.
This year, Susan will be displaying a selection of abstract monoprint landscapes alongside a few other representational paintings. The timeless and repeated invasions of territories by hostile forces has influenced Susan's work as this had affected her own family history. The layering of colours in her monoprints signify events which become hidden over time with other activities and ownerships.
