Eclectic landscapes exploring the representational & the abstract, the effect of layers of time, action upon the surface, and territorial ownership.
Susan Sanders, BA Fine Art University of Hertfordshire
Susan’s landscape images are eclectic as she enjoys the freedom of exploring both the representational and abstract. However, behind the different approaches to her work is the idea that we initially only superficially see a surface, this conceals the effect of layers of time, action upon the surface, territorial ownership and matter. Her imagination looks for a sense beyond surface and edges and leads to experimentation in her presentations. Observation of machinery on the land also leads to the resulting effect of lines and geometry the landscape.
