Teresa Newham at Wensley Arts
Teresa is a painter and printmaker whose work draws inspiration from nature, travel and the quirks of everyday life. Her favourite subjects include landscapes, flowers and wildlife – especially when these give her the opportunity to explore new ideas and experiment with different techniques. Whether hand-printing a limited-edition reduction linocut or restricting her watercolour palette, she enjoys challenging herself to convey the essence of the subject within the limitations of her chosen medium, and is increasingly drawn to ways of working which involve both, such as Japanese woodblock. Teresa shows her work at exhibitions in and around Harpenden, Hertfordshire.
