Jo Scott at Studio 6

A collection of prints and paintings in both vibrant colours and solid inky blacks based around nature, ranging from fish to pomegranates

Jo’s love for printmaking and the natural world started at university during her BA in Illustration where she began to explore how she could represent the world around her within her artworks. Her work explores the intricate details of living things and their connections to folklore, blending artistic precision with storytelling rooted in nature’s mysteries and its innate whimsy. She works in both vibrant colour and precise single colour interchangeably creating a variety of prints and paintings exploring the full spectrum of colour. Currently she is pushing the different ways linocut can be used in her art, creating articulated bookmarks and decor. During the course of open studios she will be hosting a collection of small printmaking livestreams on her Instagram where people are welcome to come and chat and learn and participate in printmaking alongside her digitally.
