I am a semi-abstract landscape painter using watercolour and mixed media such as gouache and oil pastels.
Exploring expressive mark making to generate energy feeling.
Inspired by coastlines, fields, and marshland.
Most of my paintings are intuitive, interpreting shapes and colours. Many works have come out of playing and experimenting with watercolours allowing the paint to decide the direction and forms.
I love and respect the wild places I often visit in England, especially Suffolk and North Devon.
I will be exhibiting with other artists in Kingsbury Barn in St Albans on 6th and 7th September.
