Deirdre Shepherd is an Irish artist living in Hertfordshire. Her paintings celebrate the beauty of places she has visited such as The Outer Hebrides, Ireland and the landscape near to where she lives in Hertfordshire. She gradually builds up layers of paint, then wipes off and scrapes back until the image gradually appears. Her aim is to create the spirit of these places. Deirdre was a Fellow of Digswell Arts Trust. She has exhibited extensively and her work is in public and private collections.
