Born and raised in St. Albans, I’ve been painting for as long as I can remember, selling my first piece at just nine years old.
My work is deeply inspired by the local landscape, from a childhood roaming the fields and woodland around Tyttenhanger Green, to familiar scenes across the area.
I create atmospheric paintings in watercolour and acrylics, capturing light, movement and the character of the natural world. I’m particularly drawn to trees, landscapes and wildlife, often painting recognisable local places with an expressive, intuitive approach that brings a sense of mood and memory to each piece.
Art runs in my family; my mother, Mary-ann Clarke, is a well-known local pastel artist who has had solo exhibitions at Harrods and Selfridges, having trained under William Mason ARCA. Her influence has shaped my creative journey from an early age.
I love sharing my work in person, and my open studio is a chance to experience these pieces up close, see new collections inspired by local scenes, and connect with the stories behind them.
Whether you know the places I paint or simply enjoy atmospheric, nature-led art, you’re warmly invited to come and explore.
