Beatrice Giacomini

Blue Reflection

Beatrice is an abstract painter inspired by nature, colour, and form. Her vibrant, energetic paintings express an emotional response to the natural world, conveying a rich range of moods and sensations.

Working intuitively, she selects colours, shapes, and tools in response to each moment, allowing compositions to unfold organically. Guided by curiosity and feeling, her process creates works that evoke movement, wonder, and a sense of quiet enchantment, inviting viewers into an immersive visual experience.

Central to her practice is a dynamic use of texture and layering. She builds her paintings with acrylics and mixed media, applied in varied ways—from thin, translucent washes to thick, expressive marks—creating depth and complexity. Using tools such as brushes, credit cards, spatulas, and tissue paper, she applies and removes paint, revealing glimpses of underlying layers and histories within the surface.

Beatrice is drawn to the interplay of light and dark, exploring contrast to create rhythm, balance, and harmony within each piece. Her mindful yet spontaneous approach allows her to become fully immersed in the act of painting, with each work developing its own distinct presence and energy.
