Susan Chester

Susan creates her paintings in watercolour, acrylic and pastel in many cases she includes metallic paints that reflect light and provide interest and depth. Her paintings evolve in a multi layered process creating texture and pattern. The medium influencing the style of the painting she produces. Susan paints the surrounding countryside, favourite objects and flowers from her garden. Often altering the perspective and heightening the colours to create a ‘sense of the place and time” Susan is influenced by the jewel colours of stained glass windows, Marc Chagall and The Impressionists.
