Paula Davies-Smith

I have a printed Textiles background studying my BA honours degree in Birmingham. Winning a Royal Society of Art Student Design award led me to work as a freelance designer. I have since then been teaching Textiles. Along side teaching and having a family I am making time to develop my Art again. I have taken part in local Art, craft and flea markets exhibiting and selling my work and cards. I have a studio space in my garden which enables me to draw, paint, print, collage and stitch. I enjoy developing new work, being inspired by other Artists and I have undertaken some online workshops which recently led to my work being published in an exhibition publication.
My work is abstract with a modern graphic style. I take inspiration from nature and travel. I enjoy developing interesting colour combinations which have become part of my signature style.
