9th September 2023. My first year exhibiting in Herts Open Studio at The Workhouse, 5 Ashton Square, Dunstable, LU6 3SN. Parking in car park behind the premises.
Art has always been my love, from a child scribbling on any piece of paper to attending art college and learning new techniques with paint, colour and form and now exhibiting my work, it has always been there. It is my way of escaping the world, I can lose myself in my work for hours. I started life in Surrey but moved to Berkhamsted where I achieved O & A level art.
At Watford Art College I developed an interest for Interior Design and went on to completing a 3 year Diploma course in Interior Design with Honors. Next was started my own Interior Design business. This became difficult to run with a young family and for a few years art was forgotten. Helping in my son's primary school lead to 20 years teaching children Art and Dt in a Luton school. I have now retired from school life and am focusing on my own artwork and teaching adults.
I use Acrylics, Coloured pencils, Mixed Media, Oil, Pastel, Pen And Wash, Watercolour and my subjects range from
Animals, Birds, Flowers , Landscape to Woodland Scene.
