4 Mitzie Green

Mitzie’s approach is intuitive; her aim is to loosen up and develop the process of leaving something unexplained and mysterious to keep the mind working. She is a professional artist working from her studio gallery in Berkhamsted, and creates paintings in acrylic, watercolour, and mixed media. She is inspired by many subjects but her main interest is landscapes and flowers making use of light, colour, and structure.

Mitzie enjoys teaching and works with beginners and experienced artists, holding workshops in a variety of media. She also gives demonstrations to art societies as and when requested. She encourages others to free up and develop their own style in an unthreatening and relaxed atmosphere with an emphasis on playing and fun. She has also undertaken commissions and has been rewarded by the pleasure they have given her clients.

Mitzie has a Diploma in Stitched Textiles and a Degree in Painting and Printmaking from Hatfield University. She has held Solo Exhibitions and exhibited widely, including the at the Royal Academy and the Mall Galleries, and takes part in the Open Studio annually.
