I paint vibrantly coloured geometric abstract paintings in an op-art style, mainly influenced by Bridget Riley and Victor Vasarely among others. I have had many exhibitions, including in Dublin, London and Brussels and I have sold paintings internationally.
I don’t use masking of any kind, and my work is often completed freehand, meaning that the human touch is evident which in these days of AI generated “art” (otherwise known as “slop”) is, to me anyway, a bonus.
I choose patterns and colours to either dazzle the eye or to create a feeling of tension on the surface of the painting and am always happy to talk about my work either in person or via email
