11b Amber Mayhew at Henderson Hub Artists
My name is Amber and I am a mother, a primary school teacher, and an artist with a deep love for nature, animals, and all things beautifully unique. My work is rooted in the everyday magic I see around me, from a decaying plant to a curious kitten. I’m always inspired by the quiet details that often go unnoticed. I work primarily in watercolour and gouache, creating expressive pieces that reflect the gentleness of the natural world. I’m also a keen sketcher, constantly filling pages with ideas, memories, and little moments that spark joy.
Creating art is deeply personal for me. I often gift pieces to loved ones as a way to show my appreciation and connection, and I sell my work so that others can do the same, whether to treasure in their own space or to give as a meaningful gift. Each piece is made with care and intention, with the hope that it brings warmth, joy, and a little touch of wonder to others.
I am joining other artists to exhibit my work in the Henderson Hub in Abbots Langley for this year’s Open Studios.
