I trained as a Graphic Designer completing my Foundation year at St Albans School of Art in 1970, and my Diploma in Graphic Design from Wimbledon school of Art in 1973. My early career was in the advertising industry and later as a freelance Graphic Designer. I started to combine my freelance work with teaching at a local FE college , where I gained my teaching qualification . I was course coordinator for a number of post 16 qualifications, finally ending my career as the head of department. I had always enjoyed printmaking and after retirement I was able to follow my interest in to all forms of printmaking. I like to take an experimental approach and will often combine techniques. I teach one day a week at Courtyard Arts in Hertford and provide workshops to local Art Societies and groups.
