Iza Nez uses different materials in her work, which is mainly figurative in nature, such as clay, wire and plaster. Her most recent work explores the experience of lockdown. Her sculptures include a ‘corona head’ and an intimate hug entitled ‘Illegal’. Her latest project, which reflects another aspect of lockdown, involves the creation of many empty toilet roll inner tubes that are dishevelled, squashed or unravelling. This latest project is nearing completion.
