Iza Nez uses clay, wire and plaster in her work, which is mainly figurative in nature. Her most recent work explores the experience of lockdown. Her sculptures include a ‘corona head’ and an intimate hug entitled ‘Illegal’. Her current project, which reflects another aspect of lockdown, involves the creation of many empty toilet roll inner tubes that are dishevelled, squashed or unravelling. This latest project is still in progress.
