My work is colourful, abstract, and geometric, with elements of cellular and fractal patterns. Printmaking and drawing are my current main processes. I like the linear qualities of drypoint and block printing with cardboard blocks, and I also enjoy experimenting with making monoprints using a Gelli plate. My main drawing tools are marker pens and coloured pencils.
Last year I made a mixed media piece based on a stained glass window. This later developed into a series of geometric drawings using coloured marker pens on handmade Khadi paper. They have been digitally reproduced as A3 prints and cards. I am currently doing a series of coloured pencil drawings developed from zoomed in photographs of spider plants.
During lockdown, I made a lot of miniature marker pen drawings on handmade paper, which have since been grouped into concertina books. Also I hand printed colourful bookmarks, and sold them to raise funds for the local hospice.
Since graduating from the University of Hertfordshire in 2016 with a BA in Fine Art, my work has been shown in a number of group exhibitions and open studios in London and Hertfordshire.
