9b Kate Dean at Hemel Old Town Hall Artists
Kate has taught art for decades and now is experimenting with printmaking to complement her ink paintings of nature and life’s curiosities.
Kate trained at Hornsey & Liverpool art schools. She gained industrial experience in an established Parisienne furnishing Atelier, Jean Marie Giraud Dessins. On return to the UK she taught third year students on the BA at Loughborough University.
She worked in Shoreditch as a freelancer before running the Textile Design Course for Bucks University.
She will be showing new paintings, etchings, and drawings at The Old Town Hall in Hemel Hempstead from 6th to 28th September.
Kate, Pete Greening, and Carla Valente are hosting a Meet The Artists evening at the Gallery of The Old Town Hall bar on September 11th, from 5pm to 7pm.
