Teresa is a painter and printmaker whose work draws inspiration from nature, travel and the quirkiness of everyday life. Her favourite subjects include landscapes, flowers and wildlife - especially when these give her the opportunity to explore new ideas and experiment with different techniques. Whether hand-printing a limited-edition reduction linocut or restricting her watercolour palette, Teresa enjoys challenging herself to convey the essence of the subject within the limitations of her chosen medium, and is increasingly drawn to ways of working which involve both. Teresa shows her work at exhibitions in and around Harpenden, Hertfordshire, and publishes a regular art blog.
Paintings in watercolour, acrylic and ink inspired by nature, ancient landscapes, symbols, dreams and inner journeys.
Sue lives on the ancient Icknield Way beneath Galley Hill in Bedfordshire and finds the Chiltern landscape and its wildlife a constant source of inspiration, along with a lifelong interest the power of symbols and the mysteries of Britain’s mythic past. Mainly working in watercolour, her paintings are often framed by a border of words which add another layer of meaning. These are often fragments of poems written by the artist, and inspired by the painting. She also enjoys painting the rugged coastal landscapes of Kerry and the downland and woods of the Chiltern Hills. More recently Sue has been branching out into acrylics and ink drawings. Many of Sue's paintings are available as prints from her website at www.suewookey.com. Original works are only available through collection or local delivery by the artist.
