68b Sally A Barr at The Palette Collective
I am a member of The Palette Collective for Arts Open Studios. You can find me at Watersmeet in Rickmansworth between 10am-2pm on 6-14th September. I will be exhibiting some finished pieces for purchase as well as making art daily on the premises. I create textured pieces with modelling paste and paint to convey a raw message. I then include other mediums to enhance the feeling of the piece. As a mixed media artist, I tend to use whatever medium the feeling of the painting demands. I’ve used crushed glass and mirror pieces in a painting called Amygdala Hijack, for example, to show the force of the water spray as an octopus’s arm breaks through a vase.
