Accuracy of Information
Herts Visual Arts will make every reasonable effort to ensure the accuracy of information included in Open Studios materials, including brochures, flipbooks and the website. However, Herts Visual Arts cannot be held responsible for any omissions or errors that may occur.
Liability
Herts Visual Arts accepts no responsibility or liability for:
- Any business or other transactions arising from an artist’s membership or participation in Open Studios or related events
- The actions of third parties who make use of information published as part of Open Studios
- Any loss, damage or issue arising as a result of participation in Open Studios
Members agree to indemnify Herts Visual Arts against any claim arising in connection with activities, work, or transactions carried out in relation to membership or events.
Participation Requirements
- All Open Studios venues must be free to enter
- All virtual studio tours or artist consultations offered as part of Open Studios must be free of charge
Entries that remain incomplete by the closing date – including unpaid fees or missing content – may be rejected at the discretion of the organising team.
Failure to comply with application requirements may affect eligibility to participate in future years.
The Open Studios fee is non-refundable, including in the unlikely event that Open Studios is cancelled due to circumstances beyond Herts Visual Arts’ control.
Use of Information & Images
Artists agree that information provided for Open Studios publications may be published:
- In print
- On the website
- In online flipbooks
- In video
- In marketing materials, including third-party publications
Artists agree to the publication of images taken during Open Studios.
Copyright of all supplied images remains with the artist or original owner. Artists confirm they either own the copyright of submitted images or have written permission from the copyright holder.
Artists grant Herts Visual Arts and its partners a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to use supplied images in any format for the purpose of promoting Herts Visual Arts and Open Studios.
Intellectual Property
All Open Studios listings, brochures, flipbooks, website content and related materials are the copyright and intellectual property of Herts Visual Arts and may not be reproduced or distributed without prior written permission.
