My love of mosaic making started with a 2-day summer workshop in 2010. It has evolved from a love of quilting in which I cut up and reassembled pieces of fabric, to a more compelling desire to cut up glass, china & ceramic tiles and reassemble them in very different ways. I find the process and mechanics of mosaicing very enjoyable; it's challenging, physical, messy, slow work and I love it! The materials I use are predominantly recycled, from broken china & ceramics to glass and jewellery, and most of the supplies I buy are from recycled sources. I am forever striving to improve my skills in order to produce pleasing, colourful & often useful mosaics.
