Hello. My name is a Maureen and I love crafting silver jewellery. I love the whole process from sawing the silver to filing, cleaning and polishing.
I am addicted to creating gorgeous things.
I started learning to make silver jewellery in 2016, when I gave up my day job to follow my passions of jewellery, botanical painting, printmaking, and more!
I have been attending silver jewellery making classes at a Made In Herts Studios, since 2016, and have learnt so much in those years. I now have my own little garden studio......my happy place......especially in the dark weeks of lockdown! I am in there morning noon and night, practising, experimenting, and creating.
When I am not in my workshop, I am in my little painting studio, in my house, where I practice my botanical painting, which I have been learning since........2007. I studied for and achieved a diploma in Botanical Painting, back in 2012, and have continued on my journey with lots of practice, and workshops with Gael Sellwood, through Field Breaks, and am aiming to become a fellow of the SBA.
I also love printmaking, but sadly don’t have any more rooms left for a print studio! So I attend classes with Tania Scott Durrant at Parndon Mill. I love nature, and all things natural, and this theme runs through most of my work.
And that is me.........in a nutshell.
