Biography
Laura is a painter based in St Albans working primarily in acrylics.
She is fascinated by light and colours in the landscape and paint’s possibilities for expressing feelings and emotions.
Her atmospheric landscapes explore emotive responses to fleeting everyday moments, attempting to convey a sense of awe, magic and wonder in our everyday experiences.
She strives to capture a sense of dramatic light hence the power of light in nature to inspire and nurture the soul has become a recurrent thread in Laura’s art practice.
Laura draws inspiration from her local surroundings as well as from the wild skies and rugged landscape of Ireland’s Donegal and the turquoise sea from her native Italy.
Originally from Italy, after moving to the UK she went on to study Fine Art at Central St Martins College in London, where she graduated with a BA Hons in Fine Art. She has exhibited in group shows in London and Hertfordshire as well as a solo show in the past.
