Biography
I have worked for many years as a Textiles teacher, and increasingly broadened out from textiles to a more mixed media approach in my own practice, including making mosaics, and recently printmaking. My recent work often starts with chance finds, often flints, shells and pebbles, which I draw and collage.
Working loosely with marks and layered surfaces, I enjoy accidents and a spontaneous approach to mark making – to evoke the marks left by natural elements. Interests include shadows, symbols, geology and a wild open spaces.
