I’ll be at the Spring Creative Market, 18th March, 11-4pm in Hitchin Town Hall The Textile and Weaving Interest Group – A monthly textile workshop which takes place on the third Monday of the month 10-12pm in Baldock, usually at the Baldock Arts & Heritage Centre. Biography
I am a Woven Textile designer making bespoke cloth collections , accessories and art work. I run regular weaving and textile workshops in Hertfordshire. My handwoven accessories are produced in small batches. I work with natural fibres such as Wild Silk, British Wool and Organic cotton. Many of the yarns used to make my textiles are made in the uk in British mills. My work is often inspired by patterns and structures found in nature. I am also interested in the concept of time passing and how this causes the natural environment to evolve, I am currently exploring these ideas within my artwork, photographic research and cloth designs. Commissions are welcome – for both bespoke woven accessories and artwork. Creative workshops run through out the year – Introductions to loom weaving and design inspiration days.
