Echos of Nature

Echoes of Nature is a solo exhibition of original miniature portraits by Gillian Weddle
The exhibition brings together two sides of my practice:
Wildlife Minis – Detailed coloured pencil portraits of animals from around the globe. From British garden birds to species from distant habitats, each piece is drawn to capture character, texture, and the quiet beauty of the natural world.
Pet Portraits – A curated selection of commissioned and original pet portraits, showcasing the same level of realism and attention to detail. These works celebrate the animals closest to us — companions, family members and the personalities we know best.
All pieces are rendered in coloured pencil at a miniature scale, inviting viewers to slow down and look closely. The collection explores our connection to animals both wild and domestic and the echoes we find between them.
Original artworks will be available to view and purchase. I’ll also have information on pet portrait commissions, with examples of recent work and details on how to book.
