I grew up with art around me as my family include painters, sculptors and ceramicists.

After an undergraduate degree in Conceptual Fine Art at the Ruskin School of Drawing 1988-9, I came back to drawing and did more than 10 portrait commissions.

With school-aged children, we moved to St Albans, where in 2016 I started up an art school called ArtHouse 16 teaching adults (and children) drawing, painting, linoleum print and sculpture in clay.

Last year I began a new departure into oil painting. Here are some of my latest paintings of portraits, the figure and still life.
